<h2>Downtown Generational Master Plan Draft</h2>Town staff worked with the McAdams consulting firm to develop a comprehensive <a href="https://letstalkfv.org/18992/widgets/87457/documents/58552" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Downtown Generational Master Plan (draft)</a>, which was presented to the Town Board on August 20, 2024. We invite the community to review the plan and give feedback below through September 23. The Town Board will use your feedback to guide their consideration of adopting the plan at a future date.<h2>Project Overview</h2>Creation of the Fuquay-Varina Downtown Generational Master Plan will take approximately twelve months and will be heavily developed through a public process.The Fuquay-Varina Downtown Generational Master Plan is intended to be a blueprint for additional investment in Fuquay-Varina&rsquo;s downtown development specific to housing, commercial/retail development, cultural arts, landscaping, and recreation amenities. The plan will recommend changes to the built environment over the next several decades while considering current demographic profiles, economic conditions, and community goals. In addition, the plan will examine local, national, and international downtown development trends that will impact development patterns throughout downtown Fuquay-Varina.<h2>Community Input</h2>The community will be heavily involved in the development of the plan. The Town of Fuquay-Varina is in the process of conducting a public transit study to determine the best solution for additional transit needs in Fuquay-Varina.

The CTP will identify improvements for all modes of transportation and create recommendations that efficiently and effectively move vehicles, pedestrians, bicyclists, and transit riders through Town. Keeping Up-to-DateThis plan is an update to the current <a href="https://online.flippingbook.com/view/879901328/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">2035 CTP</a> which was adopted in 2017; plans of this nature are typically updated every five (5) years to ensure we&#39;re accounting for changes in growth, development, and our community&#39;s needs.We need your input! 2040 Comprehensive Transportation Plan

The Town of Fuquay-Varina is currently developing the Fiscal Year 2025 Budget (July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025) and the Capital Investment Plan, a long-range plan to identify major projects.The Town accepted public input on budget priorities through February 20, 2024.The FY 2025 Recommended Budget was presented to the Fuquay-Varina Town Board on May 6, 2024, and is now ready for public review. Citizens are invited to comment on the recommended budget until May 21, 2024. (See below.)A Public Hearing on the FY 2025 Recommended Budget will be held on May 21, 2024, at 7 pm. Comments are also welcome at this meeting.
