Additional improvements include installing crosswalks with pedestrian refuge islands, Americans with Disabilities Act compliant curb ramps, sidewalks, and tying into the planned Wallace Adcock Boulevard to the east.
The Town has secured approximately $1.2 Million in federal funding for design and construction through the NC Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization’s Locally Administered Projects Program. The total project cost is $1.5 Million and the remaining $300,000 will be Town-funded. Construction is anticipated to begin in early 2023.
